What this site collects

This marketing site is a static website: pages built in advance and served as-is. No accounts, no database: this site asks you for nothing. The only thing it records: anonymous, aggregate visit statistics, described below.

The contact form. If you write to us through the form, your name, email address and message are used for one thing: letting us reply. They are not saved to any database. The message is relayed by our own server, in Europe, to our mailbox. It exists only there, and we keep it for as long as the conversation needs. No third-party form service is involved, and you will not be subscribed to anything along the way. One exception, for honesty's sake: if delivery fails, the message content is written to our server's technical log, until later entries replace it. That is what stops your message being lost. Prefer plain email? Write to us directly.

The waiting list. If you leave your email address on the "Coming soon" page, it is used for one thing: sending you a single email when BeretPlan opens. It travels through the same channel as the contact form: relayed by our own server, in Europe, to our mailbox, with no database and no third-party service. We keep it until launch, long enough to send that one message, and then it serves no further purpose: no newsletter, no follow-ups. To withdraw it before then, just write to us.

One unavoidable exception: the hosting provider serving these pages processes technical logs (including your IP address) needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. That hosting will be European; the provider's name will be listed here, and in the legal notice, as soon as the choice is final.

Cookieless analytics, hosted on our own server

To know which pages get read, this site uses Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves, on our own server in Europe (OVH, France). No data ever leaves our infrastructure: no third-party processor, no advertising pixels, no social network spy buttons. Even the fonts are served with the site, rather than from a big tech platform that would recognise you on the way past.

Cookieless, genuinely: no cookie is set, no identifier is stored in your browser (no localStorage), no device fingerprinting. To tell two visits apart within the same day, Umami computes a salted hash server-side, rotated daily: impossible to follow you from one day to the next, let alone from one site to another.

What we see: aggregate statistics - pages viewed, referring site, country, browser type, clicks on the site's key buttons (such as "Try for free"). Nothing more: no individual profiles, no cross-site tracking, no advertising use, no data sharing.

That is also why no cookie banner jumped at you when you arrived: this setup, limited strictly to audience measurement, aims to qualify for the consent exemption the CNIL provides for exactly this case. Should its scope ever change, this page (and the consent request that would then be required) would be updated at the same time.

A choice, not an accident

At BeretPlan, we spend our days protecting your company's numbers. Consistency starts here: the best data to protect is the data you never collect. This site is built that way from the ground up: no "just in case" collection, no "improving your experience" that follows you around the web.

What about the BeretPlan application?

The application, by nature, does process data: yours (your account and your budgets), hosted in Europe, isolated per company and handled in compliance with the GDPR. From the registration form onwards, its own documents apply:
