The story behind BeretPlan
Aurélien, Nicolas and Marie-Lou built Iterop together — a Toulouse-based SaaS workflow (BPM) software company — from its founding in 2013 to its acquisition by Dassault Systèmes in July 2021, and its integration into the group that followed.
Through all those years working with startups and SMEs, the same gap kept coming up: a simple way to talk about financial goals somewhere other than Excel, and real strategic advice without having to call in an accountant or a consultant first.
BeretPlan — the company Beret Scale — was born from that gap, in Toulouse, with a mission that fits in a single sentence:
"We want starting a business to be accessible to everyone."

Three simple principles, learned over ten years alongside leaders who had no time for jargon.
Accessible to everyone
Running a company shouldn't require a finance degree. Readable formulas, honest advice, zero jargon: everyone should be able to stand behind their numbers.
French and European, data respected
Built in Toulouse, hosted in Europe, GDPR taken seriously. Your numbers tell the story of your company: they stay with you, and they serve no one but you.
Serious, without taking ourselves seriously
Your company's money is a serious matter; talking about it can stay light. That's the whole philosophy of the beret-wearing owl keeping watch over your budgets.
Let's write the next chapter together.
Our second venture is under way — maybe yours is too. Build your first budget today: your ideas, your numbers, zero spreadsheets.
